2006 National Caregivers Conference

Start Date: November 2, 2006

End Date: November 3, 2006

Description:The Family Support Center of New Jersey is hosting the 2006 National Caregivers Conference, where caregivers can 'Take Comfort in Knowledge.' The conference will concentrate on the critical importance of caregivers. This year's conference will direct caregivers towards information on easily accessible, cost effective supports to all populations, regardless of age or disability. Knowledge of available resources can help to alleviate the stress associated with caregiving, sustain families and marriages, improve caregivers’ health and well being, reduce the risk of abuse and neglect, and minimize or delay the need for more costly out-of-home placement. The conference will also serve as a networking session for parents to gain social supports and help them realize that they are not alone. The National Caregivers Conference is an annual event that focuses on education, family supports, mental health and much more. The conference will take place on November 2nd and 3rd, 2006 at Sheraton at Woodbridge Place in Iselin, New Jersey. This conference will host over 30 workshop sessions, informational exhibits and inspirational speakers. Also, for attendees convenience Respite is available. If you are interested please contact Ramona Carmeci (732) 528-8080. Availability is limited.
