2011 Minnesota Council for Exceptional Children Conference

Description:This year's conference theme is Universal Design for Learning (UDL), which will focus on the use of instructional tools used to make teaching decisions, research based strategies for effective classroom practice, and innovative ideas to address the needs of 21st century learners in special education. Attendees and participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions with highly qualified practitioners and presenters, visit exhibits and engage in discussions related to curriculum and materials, and gain new insight and understanding about Universal Design and learners in the 21st Century. Attendees will also be able to identify and use research-based effective instructional practices, and implement teaching decisions based on data as they collaborate with colleagues from across Minnesota.
