Why did you purchase the product?
Due to chronic illness, I didn't have the energy to stand for very long, or walk very far. I also needed a cane to walk, and this folding cane seat was ideal (suggested to me by family member).

How well did the product meet your needs?
This cane seat worked VERY WELL for me and met my needs so well that I didn't go anywhere without it. I used it for four years and it enabled me to get around and to do things (like shopping, going to children's concerts, walking around the house and yard) that I hadn't been able to do for years! It helped give me back a measure of freedom and independence that I had perforce lost. One important note!! If you use yours as much as I, buy and use a new one every year. The price is worth it, and mine colapsed with me on it while sitting in a store aisle shopping. Talk about Goldilocks! I weigh 135 lbs. The more constantly you use it, the kind of use, your weight, and how much weight you need to lean on it when standing are all determining factors. It would have helped me to have on the label something stating this, and that it could colapse, with a suggestion on the label to replace it every year with constant use.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
I liked the lightweight aluminium construction, and the durability of the plastic seat and handle. I also liked the way the cane snapped into place in a plastic niche under the seat when in upright position. Not all such cane-seats do this. Also, it was very steady -- no wobblying like some other brands. I felt secure using it.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
I disliked only that it colapsed with me sitting on it and the injury that caused. It needed a label to the effect that it might do so after constant use and that it is advisable to replace it once a year under those conditions.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
I highly recommend this cane-seat above all others, but tell others to replace theirs every year if they use it constantaly to bear their weight walking and sitting.
