Review: Pilot Rolling Cane

Product Information

Manufacturer: Pilot

Reviewed by: Name withheld by request.

Why did you purchase the product?
Lower extremity weakness.

How well did the product meet your needs?
Works well on noncarpeted areas. I am ataxic (gait disturbance) with profound weakness in one leg. The rolling cane is essentially a one-sided walker that suits my needs on hard noncarpeted surfaces.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
When I go out to business meetings, this device is less obtrusive than a full walker. Because it fully rolls, I don't have to risk falling by lifting it as I would a cane. It has a break which allows me to use it when I am rising from a chair. It is sturdy enough to support my weight (150 lbs) fully.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
I wish it were metal rather than plastic construction. Does not easily roll on carpeting.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
