Review: Sure Step

Product Information

Manufacturer: Sure Foot Inc.

Why did you purchase the product?
My mother purchased this for my grandmother, about 15 years ago.

How well did the product meet your needs?
It's fabulous. Absolutely meets my mother's needs. Delighted that we bought it.

Are there specific features of the product that you liked?
The base is larger than most, so it offers more stability than a round tipped cane. Yet it's flexible and moves with you, so it doesn't fight against the user. My mother is able to get around with Sure Step very well, and feels confident using it. It's also convenient that it stands up on its own.

Are there specific features of the product that you disliked?
Mom reports that the handle can start to hurt her hand and wrist after a while. Might be good to have a rubber cover on it instead of just hard plastic.

Any other comments about the product's performance?
This thing has been through the mill and proved how robust it is. People often comment positively about it. Suggestion: you know how some keychains have a beeper that helps you find the keys? Well we could use one for this cane. It's so easy to stand up on its own, that Mom keeps walking away from it and losing it! We love it. I'm so pleased that my mother has a cane that she finds so useful. Love it, love it, love it. If I needed a cane, I'd get one of these, spray paint it in a funky colour, and use it with pride.
