  1. COMMCENTER (MODEL M72 BS)

    --- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- FM transmitter relays sound from a central sound system directly to the hearing impaired. User wears personal receiver connected to hearing aid or earphones. Unit allows user to receive sound direct from speakers, musical instruments, or stage action eliminating most background noise. Has a range of 400 feet when used with PR72 or PR82 personal receiver. 115 V AC or optional 12V DC battery pack. 8 inches wide by 7 1/2 inches deep by 2 /12 inches high. A rack mounting adapter kit (RMK1) is available for standard 19 inch rackmount.

  2. COMTEK COMPANION II (MODEL AT-82 KIT)

RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Complete portable wireless auditory assistance and training kit: 32 channel plug-in selectability for both transmitter and receiver; one M- 82 AT transmitter (for use with lavaliere microphone with a plug-in channel selector and nicad battery priced at $460 separately); a Pr-72 Option 2 receiver; SM-N earphone assembly, NTC-100 neck-loop transducer, M4005 microphone for transmitter, two rechargeable nicad batteries, NBC 9-2 nicad battery charger, M4035 training microphone for receiver, two P1 pouches, CB-48 attenuator adapter cable and a carrying case. User wears the Com Tek pocket size receiver and neck loop device. Person speaking wears the pocket sized transmitter with clip on microphone. Device gives the hearing impaired a direct link to the speaker at volt battery. Receiver features plug-in frequency selector for eight wide-band or 32 narrow-band channels and battery conditioner indicator; one plug-in channel selector. Training input for personal auditory training and M4035 training microphone (see separate entry). Weight 4 ounces. Receiver and transmitter: 1 1/16 by 2 1/4 by 3 1/4 inches. Operates in range of 500 feet. Options include: microphones, channel crystals, cords and other miscellaneous options.

  3. CONFERENCE-MATE INFRARED LISTENING SYSTEM

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 02/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Conference-Mate Infrared Listening System is designed to provide enhanced listening quality to persons with hearing disabilities in group discussion or other conference situations. This wireless system consists of a microphone/transmitter and headset receiver. TRANSMITTER: The microphone and transmitter is housed in a hardwood enclosure and placed in the center of a conference table, desk, or other hard surface. The patented, ultra- sensitive, omni-directional microphone system picks up voice sounds, equalizes the sound level of each speaker's voice, and the transmitter send a signal by way of infrared light to each listener's wireless headset. Microphone muting function is available for private conversations. The infrared transmission will not pass through meeting room walls; multiple systems may be used in adjacent rooms without interference. HEADSET: Each headset has built-in volume control adjustable by the user. Any number of headsets can be used with the transmitter. Clip-on Receivers and neck loops for users with hearing aids are available options. POWER: Both the transmitter and receivers are battery-operated. The transmitter will operate for up to six hours between battery changes. DIMENSIONS: Transmitter is octagonally shaped, measuring 5.5 inches in diameter and 2 7/8 inches high. WEIGHT: Transmitter is 16 ounces, headsets are 1.4 ounces each. FINISH: Transmitter unit is available in oak and walnut finishes.
