  1. AIRCAST CRYO / CUFF COOLER Picture of AIRCAST CRYO / CUFF COOLER

The Aircast Cryo / Cuff Cooler is a cold therapy system designed for use with individuals with arthritis or other disabilities or injuries of the joints to minimize hemathrosis, pain, and swelling. Designed for clinic, field, or home use, the system consists of three parts: a cuff that covers a specific body part with pressurized ice water, a cooler with the capacity to hold sufficient water and ice for six to eight hours of therapy, and a tube that exchanges the water between the cooler and the cuff. To use the system, the cooler is filled with water and ice, the appropriate cuff secured to the area to be treated, and the tube is connected between them. Compression is created by the cuff; elevating the cooler forces the ice water into the cuff and compresses the affected area. Compression is controlled by gravity and is proportional to the elevation of the cooler. The cooler and tube assembly are sold separately from the cuffs. Cuff are of nylon and vinyl and models include ankle, knee, hand/wrist, elbow, and shoulder (each sold separately). OPTIONS: A Cryo/Cuff AutoChill System automatically exchanges water between the cuff and cooler using an electronic pump. SIZES: All cuffs are one size fits all except the knee cuff which comes in small, medium, or large.
