Attainment Switch is a switch emulation program designed for used by individuals with cognitive, fine motor or upper extremity disabilities. This application (or app) allows a person to use their Apple iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch as a wireless accessibility switch. Attainment Switch can be used to communicate with scanning-enabled software running on any computer running the Mac or Windows operating system. The Community Success CD-ROM is an independent living and personal skills tutorial program designed for use by instructors of students with cognitive disabilities. This CD-ROM helps students prepare for community outings by teaching social considerations and step-by-step sequences for appropriate social interactions. PCS WORDLESS EDITION
The PCS Wordless Edition is a volume of symbolic language pictures designed for use by persons who communicate nonvocally or have a speech impairment. The 240-page spiral bound book features 1,600 symbols taken from the Picture Communication Symbols Books I and II (see separate entry). The words located over the symbols have been removed for using the symbols on various voice machine overlays or for translation into other languages. SENTENCE KEY & PICTURE SENTENCE KEY
Sentence Key and Picture Sentence Key are language tutorial programs and reading tutorial programs designed to teach language structure for children with autism and other disorders. The main objective of the programs is to teach a student how to make a phrase saying "who is doing what". As pictures are selected to make the phrase, the computer speaks in a clear digitized speech. When the sentence is completed, the entire sentence is spoken and an animated picture appears depicting the sentence. Both programs are HyperCard stacks; Picture Sentence Key uses symbolic pictures and text; Sentence Key works the same way except that it uses text instead of pictures.
