    The DynaVox EyeMax is an eye controlled input system for communicator that can be used to access DynaVox Vmax communication device (see separate listing). The EyeMax can be used by people of all ages and cognitive abilities with direct vision in one or both eyes, even if they wear contact lenses or glasses. Rapid, stable calibration eliminates the need for frequent caregiver intervention. Calibration is maintained as long as a user’s needs remain unchanged. This system attaches to the Vmax securely without the need for tools, and supports changing access needs. The system provides users with access to built-in infrared environmental control functions, and the ability to adjust settings and program content independently. The Navigator user interface and content options for literate adults included with the Vmax provides EyeMax users with quick access to speech, e-mail, Internet, computer, ebooks and environmental controls. This dynamic display speech generating device offers scene-based pages that simplify message composition for individuals who encounter difficulty understanding conversations, questions, or directions; primarily use non-symbol strategies such as gestures; communicate only basic needs/information; value picture dictionaries as aids in expanding vocabulary skills; encounter difficulty building a message word-by-word; or communicate a limited number of messages in a small set of specific contexts. Customized DynaVox InterAACT page sets provide appropriate communication tools for emergent communicators based on the communicator’s age and skill level. The pages are designed to maintain a consistent structure so that individuals can progress quickly and easily from one page set to another. Visual scenes use background and images and active areas to establish the context for communications. Picture Communication Symbol (PCS) sets are included for use in communication pages. Custom digital pictures can also be used as a background for a page, pop-up, or button symbol to add greater personal meaning. Used for day-to-day communication, this speech-generating device combines a broad array of communication methods, such as an intuitive language hierarchy, icons, and easy-to-access pop-ups, with voice morphing technology and a built-in camera so that individuals can better match specific communication needs with the best features to achieve them. Speech capabilities include the ability to record an adult voice and make it sound like a male or female child’s voice, as well as the ability to whisper, whine and shout messages. This communicator uses a language structure that provides easy access to topics and relevant vocabulary. The device also provides the ability to move easily between nearly 2,500 intuitively-organized and fully- customizable phrases to precise word selection or spelling keyboards for more specific communication. "Phrase first” organization features streams of phrases, words, and core vocabulary, enabling individuals to move freely between communication strategies. This system is designed to support effective and efficient novel communication. A pop-up keyboard and key phrase bank are always available, enabling users to spell or say what they need and then return to where they were.     The DynaVox Xpress is a handheld direct selection or scanning communicator designed for use by individuals with significant speech, language and learning disabilities stemming from stroke/aphasia, autism, Down syndrome, traumatic brain injury, motor neuron disease (MND) or apraxia of speech. This portable device provides a full range of communication capabilities to support communication in person, on the phone, text message, e-mail, etc. This unit features the same type of touch screen as the iPhone and Blackberry Storm and enables augmented communicators to drag or sweep their fingers or thumbs over the screen to quickly access content and make selections. Access methods include simple touch (make selections by dragging or sweeping across the screen), touch enter, touch exit, and scanning. Built-in Wi-Fi enables users to surf the Internet, copy content (images, text, audio, and video) directly from a web page to a communication page, speak text immediately from a web page, send e-mail, and input text using the auto-popup keyboard. This device contains an integrated infrared remote control that can be programmed to work with thousands of hew household appliances in seconds. Built-in Bluetooth supports Bluetooth keyboards and/or computer mice and allows the device to be used as a type-and-talk device. Rate enhancement features include word prediction, abbreviation expansion, and flexible abbreviation expansion. The device can be accessed via direct selection or single- or duel-switch scanning.
