  1. CAUSE AND EFFECT SIGHTS AND SOUNDS Picture of CAUSE AND EFFECT SIGHTS AND SOUNDS

    Cause and Effect Sights and Sounds is a cause and effect training program designed to teach switch use for children with severe physical disabilities or cognitive disabilities. The program offers five musical themes (mellow, country, jazz, techno, and rock) with three colorful animated activities (flowers, fireworks, and lines and designs). Three separate switch modes teach momentary, timed, and latching switch activation. COMPATIBILITY:For use on IBM and compatible computers or Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A Macintosh running MacOS 10.1 or newer, or a PC running Windows XP or newer. For switch access, requires a switch interface and one or more switches.

  2. CAUSE 'N EFFECT (MODELS 1110, 1120, 1130)

    Cause 'n Effect (Models 1110, 1120, 1130) is a fun and simple program designed to teach the basic principles of cause and effect to the student. This basic program, designed to be suitable for first-time computer users, includes four different activities in which the student must initiate, change, or stop some activity on the computer screen. Two of the activities provide sound and motion which the student may observe at the earliest age, and which do not require a response from the student. Responses during the program can be made by pressing any key on the keyboard, a mouse button, or any typical single switch device. Extra options available for this program include speech output on an Echo or Cricket speech synthesizer and TouchWindow use. The program is available as CrossWords Special Access (Model 1110, $50.00) on 5.25 inch diskettes, Marblesoft CrossWords 3.5 (Model 1120, $60.00) on 3.5 inch diskettes, or as Edmark Data Disks (Model 1130, $25.00) on 5.25 inch diskettes. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple IIc, IIc Plus, IIGS, Enhanced IIe, or Laser 128EX, or a Macintosh with an Apple IIe card. SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of 128K memory, or a Macintosh LC with an Apple IIe Card installed. A 5.25- or 3.5-inch disk drive is required, and a color monitor is recommended.

  3. EARLY LEARNING I Picture of EARLY LEARNING I

    Early Learning I is a perceptual training program designed for teaching recognition of colors, shapes, numbers, and letters to children with a learning disability. The program includes the following four lessons: Matching Colors, Learning Shapes, Counting Numbers, and Letter Match. All have the option of being controlled with: a keyboard, a mouse, a touch screen, IntelliKeys, or single- or dual-switch input. The program may be set to ask for a yes or no response with no as default value. A speech synthesizer responds with correction and reinforcement. A record-keeping program is also included. Overlays are included for marking or color-coding the keys the student needs to depress; specify model of computer when ordering. Hand Controls (see entry) can be purchased for the switch option. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS: Microsoft Windows XP or later; Mac OS 10.1 or later.

  4. EARLY LEARNING SUITE Picture of EARLY LEARNING SUITE

    The Early Learning Suite is a pre-reading tutorial program designed to teach reading skills to young children. The program consists of a set of 16 educational programs and a record-keeping system. All programs support input from a keyboard, a mouse, a touch screen, IntelliKeys, or single- or dual-switch input. The following programs are included on the software: Early Learning I: Matching Colors, Learning Shapes, Counting Numbers, and Letter Match; Early Math Skills: Early Addition I, Early Addition II, Sequencing Up, Sequencing Down, Early Subtraction I, Early Subtraction II, and More Than/Less Than; Money Skills: Coins and Bills, Counting Money, Making Change, How Much Change?, and The Marblesoft Store; and The Graphic Speller with nine levels which teach number lining and early graphic skills. COMPATIBILITY: For use with IBM and compatible computers or Apple Macintosh computers. SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS: Microsoft Windows XP or later; Mac OS 10.1 or later.

  5. HAND CONTROLS

    Hand Controls are a keyboard control for use with the Early Learning Programs from Marblesoft (see separate entries) for persons who use push switch controls. The controls consist of a set of two push switches that are clearly labeled "YES" and "NO," the two choices the program offers in its switch mode. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple IIc, Apple IIe, and Apple IIGS computers. DIMENSIONS: 4.25 x 2.5 x 1.25 inches. WEIGHT: 8 ounces.

  6. KEYBOARD OVERLAYS FOR APPLE IIE AND IIGS (MODELS 9000, 9001, 9006, 9007, 9010, 9011, 9014 & 9015)

    Keyboard Overlays are designed for use with the Apple IIe and IIGS computer for persons with sensory disabilities. The overlays are molded flexible plastic strips that cover rows of keys on the computer keyboard, while allowing full use of the keys. The overlays provide a way of temporarily labelling keys with colors, shapes, etc., and may be changed to correspond to different software programs that use different keys. Also available without labels affixed. Clear (unlabeled) or Numbers overlays are $8.00. Uppercase Letters Overlays are available for $24.00. A package of seven overlays with labels are $50, and includes numbers, lower-case letters, colors, shapes, and math symbols overlays. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple IIe and Apple IIGS computers.

  7. MIX 'N MATCH (MODELS 0450 AND 0460)

    Mix 'N Match, models 0450 and 0460, is a pre-reading tutorial program designed to teach identification of objects by size, shape, and color. Sorting Fun teaches classification of objects by shape and color; Count the Shapes teaches identification by shape, color, and size; Match the Shapes teaches relationships between objects; and What Comes Next teaches patterns in a sequence. All four lessons have the options of switch input ("yes" and "no" responses) and synthesized voice reinforcement. The program includes a record-keeping system, and is available with (model 0460) or without (model 0450) keyboard overlays. The PowerPad keyboard and TouchWindow (see separate entry) can be used as input devices for Mix 'N Match. COMPATIBILITY: Macintosh. SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS: Macintosh System 7.1; 4MB RAM (2 MB free). A color monitor is required to run Mix 'N Match. An Echo or Double Talk speech synthesizer (see separate entries) is required for the voice output option. The system supports use of a mouse, TouchWindow, PowerPad, IntelliKeys, Ke:nx OnBoard, and single-switch input. OPTIONS: Early Learning Package is available for $200.00 and contains Early Learning I, II and III; Money Skills and Mix 'n Match (see separate entries) and all keyboard overlays. Backup copies of the program are available for $5. Mix 'n Match Upgrades (Model 4460) are available to upgrade to Macintosh version 1.1 for $30.00.

    Money Skills, model 0670, is a money management tutorial program designed to provide computer assisted training in the development of skills with identification of coins and bills, counting denominations and making change. The program features a built-in record keeping system, an option for an increasing level of difficulty, and exercises using U.S.. Canadian, European, British, or Australian currency. It supports keyboard, mouse, touch screen, IntelliKeys, and single- or dual-switch input. OPTIONS: 5-pack (model 0671), $210.00. COMPATIBILITY: For use on PC or Macintosh. SYSTEM REQUIRMENTS: For PC, Windows 98 or newer. For Macintosh, System 9.0.4 or newer (runs native on OS X).

  9. NEW FROG AND FLY Picture of NEW FROG AND FLY

    New Frog & Fly is a cause and effect training program designed for use by children with cognitive or communication disabilities. Based on the classic game from the early days of personal computing, this switch-training software features brightly colored graphics with delightful animation and sometimes hilarious sound effects. Four switch training activities help teach cause and effect, two-switch step scanning, auto-scanning, and reaction time. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible or Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: For Macintosh computers, MacOS 10.1 or newer operating system; for a personal computer (PC), Windows XP or newer. For switch access, a switch interface and one or more switches are required.

    The Picasso Series is a set of four cause and effect training program titles designed for use by children with cognitive or severe physical disabilities. Pressing a switch enables the user to draw and then color a picture while teaching switch use. The program enables the child to capture a paint pallette for each picture. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible comnputers or Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A Macintosh running MacOS 10.1 or newer, or a PC running Windows XP or newer.     The Scan and Match Series is a set of six cause and effect training program titles designed for use by children with cognitive or severe physical disabilities. Each title includes three picture matching activities with full color graphics and digitized sound. The program provides performance data that can be printed or saved to disk.     Super Switch Puzzles is a cause and effect training program designed for use by children with cognitive or severe physical disabilities. The program includes six switch-accesible puzzles with 40 puzzle photos. Other pictures can be loaded into the program. Users can access the puzzle activities in any of three ways: single switch cause and effect, two switch step scanning, or single switch auto-scanning. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible comnputers or Macintosh computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A Macintosh running MacOS 10.1 or newer, or a PC running Windows XP or newer.   1. INTELLIKEYS Picture of INTELLIKEYS

    IntelliKeys is a modified and expanded keyboard for children and adults with visual, physical or cognitive disabilities. The standard system includes one cable and six plastic user overlays, (arrows, numbers, alphabet, basic writing, QWERTY, and one setup overlay used to adjust IntelliKeys for specials needs such as keyboard response and repeat rate). The overlays enable users to access standard learning software and are easy to see, touch and understand. They can be used at home or work and rotated among different computers with the custom information still intact. ItelliKeys features two switch jacks with 11 pre-defined settings. The system is also available with three cables ($435) or without cables ($395.00). COMPATIBILITY: For use on Macintosh computers (except Mac 512K and Mac Plus), IBM and compatible computers, and Apple IIgs and Apple IIe. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: An IntelliKeys IIe Card ($129.95) is required for use with Apple IIe computers. IntelliKeys is compatible with most other systems with a standard keyboard port.
