    The AquaBodyCiser, model AQ14, is swimming pool exercise equipment designed for use by individuals with upper or lower extremity disabilities. This device can be used for lumbar stabilization exercises or for cardiovascular or knee and shoulder rehabilitation. It has an adjustable shutter mechanism that can be used to increase and decrease resistance. Sample exercises are included.

    The AquaPaddle, model AQ16, is swimming pool exercise equipment designed for use by individuals in physical rehabilitation. The paddle provides resistance in the water and can be used for overall strength training, cardiovascular workouts, or specific rehabilitation exercises. The size and blade angle can be controlled to provide proper resistance for different planes of movement. A large size Fin & Flipper Log (see separate entry) can be attached to each blade for added resistance.

Useful for aquatic therapy or water aerobics, these buoyant logs provide added resistance. SIZES: Model AQ10 is small and model AQ12 is large.

  4. OPTP EXERCISE PUTTY

    OPTP Exercise Putty is therapy putty designed for use by individuals with upper extremity or neurological disabilities, arthritis, or carpal tunnel syndrome. Made of a non-hardening silicone formula, this putty is available in super soft, soft, medium soft, medium, or firm resistances to permit progressive exercise and strengthening of the forearm, hand, and fingers. Each resistance (sold separately) is sold in a three-ounce, air-tight, reusable container. COLOR: Super soft is tan, soft is yellow, medium soft is red, medium is green, and firm is blue.

    OPTP Foam Rollers are therapy rolls designed for use in exercise and therapy. Made of firm, lightweight, durable foam, these rollers are available in round and half-round shapes. The half-round has a flat bottom.     OPTP Glacier Packs are cold packs designed to relieve pain These packs have a flexible filler that never freezes, but retains cold. Because the packs do not freeze, they remain flexible and conform to the body. The packs provide up to 30 minutes of cold therapy and are double seamed for durability. SIZES: Model 1731 is a cervical (neck) size and model 1730 is standard. DIMENSIONS: Model 1731 is 23 inches long and model 1730 is 11 x 14 inches.

    OPTP Reusable Thermal Packs are hot packs designed to relieve muscle pain and stiffness. These packs can be heated in a microwave oven or on a stovetop to provide up to 30 minutes of moist heat. SIZES: Model 1711 is a cervical (neck) size and model 1712 is standard. DIMENSIONS: Model 1711 is 24 inches long and model 1712 is 10 x 12 inches.

Available in a range of sizes for balance, stretching, strengthening, or aerobic exercises, these balls are pump-inflatable and firmness can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing inflation. OPTIONS: Power pump ball pump. DIMENSIONS: Available in 11.5, 17.5, 21.5, 25, 29.5, 33, or 37 inches in diameter. COLORS: The 11.5-inch ball is pink. The 17.5- and 29.5-inch balls are yellow.     The Kaltenborn Mobilization Wedge, model 612, and the Original Norsk Mobilization Wedge, model 611, are positioning wedges used in thoracic spinal adjusting, joint positioning, and mobilization. Both models feature a molded groove on one side to take pressure off the spinous processes. Model 612 is constructed of rubber and Model 611 is constructed of lightweight polyethylene. DIMENSIONS: Model 612 has a 4.25 x 8 inch base and model 611 has a base that is 4 x 9 inches.

    The McKenzie Airback Roll, model 706, is an inflatable back support cushion designed for individuals with low back pain, injury, or arthritis. Constructed of nylon-covered vinyl, this portable lumbar roll can be adjusted for firmness by increasing or decreasing inflation. The roll can be deflated and folded for transport in a wallet, pocket, or purse.

    The McKenzie Cervical Roll, model 703, is a cervical pillow designed to provide support to the cervical lordosis while the user is sleeping on his/her side or back. The padded foam tube is placed between a soft, moldable pillow and pillowcase (not included). The roll is made of soft low-density foam and includes a removable, washable cotton/polyester cover.

  13. ORIGINAL MCKENZIE CPM ROLL (MODEL 709)

    The Original McKenzie CPM Roll, model 709, is a lumbar support designed for use by individuals with lower back pain, weakness, or injury. This support also offers continuous passive motion to the lower back, inflating and deflating every 40 seconds. Continuous passive motion helps increase lower back flexibility and reduces muscle fatigue. The cushion includes a strap to secure it to a car seat or chair. POWER: Uses a car cigarette lighter adapter (included). An optional alternating current (AC) adapter is available for home or office use.

This cushion features a D-shaped design intended to provide back support for the reduction of postural stress on the lumbar discs. Made of foam with a washable polyester cover, this roll secures to chairs and automobile seats with permanently attached adjustable elastic straps.

    The McKenzie Lumbar Roll is a back support cushion designed for use by individuals with lower back pain, injury, or arthritis. Designed to support the lumbar lordosis while sitting this padded foam tube is placed between the curve of the lower back and the chair. A detachable elastic strap allows the roll to be worn around the waist or strapped to a chair. The roll's materials are washable. Model 701 is standard density and Model 702 is firm density. The Original McKenzie Early Compliance Lumbar Roll, model 704, offers the same features as model 701, but is slightly smaller.

    The Original McKenzie Night Roll is a back support cushion designed for use by individuals with lower back arthritis, pain, or injury. This roll provides back support for the lumbar region while the user is lying on his/her side or back. Made of foam with a removable, washable cotton and polyester cover, this roll ties around the waist. SIZES: Model 750 is extra small (fits waists up to 24 inches), model 751 is small/medium (fits waists 24 to 34 inches), and model 752 is large/extra large (fits waists 34.5 inches and larger). COLOR: Light blue.

    The McKenzie Super Roll, model 708, is a back support cushion designedfor use by individuals with lower back pain, arthritis, or injury. Made of foam with a velour cover, this roll features a removable elastic strap that can be attached to a high or low back chair and car seats. A Velcro strip sewn on the cover also enables direct attachment to fabric chair backs.

  19. POSITEX EXTREMITY MOBILIZATION STRAP (MODEL 602)

    The Extremity Mobilization Strap, model 602, is a belt restraint designed to be placed around the waist of a clinician and used to apply lateral traction on an individual's limb. The woven-nylon strap adjusts in length and features a push-button release buckle and a removable flat vinyl pad which makes the unit suitable for pelvic stabilization. DIMENSIONS: 8 feet long.

  20. POSITEX JOINT DISTRACTION CUFF (MODEL 603)

    The Positex Joint Distraction Cuff, model 603, is a traction system designed for use in therapeutic settings. This cuff is used to apply traction forces to the knee joint during mobilization procedures. The cuff is constructed of padded vinyl with adjustable Velcro closure and a foot stirrup.

  21. POSITEX PATIENT STABILIZER STRAP (MODEL 604)

    The Positex Patient Stabilizer Strap, model 604, is a traction system designed for use in therapeutic settings. This strap attaches to the edge of a treatment table with an attatched "J" to secure the individual during mobilization procedures. The banana-shaped pad consists of a heavy, flat bar padded with foam and covered in vinyl. A strong woven-nylon strap adjusts for length with one hand and includes a push-button release buckle. DIMENSIONS: Eight feet long.

  22. POSITEX PERSONAL WEDGE

    The Positex Personal Wedge is a positioning wedge designed for use by individuals with lower extremity, circulatory, respiratory, or digestive disabilities. The set includes two step-cut combustion-modified polyurethane foam wedges that can be used together or individually to create different height elevations.     SI-LOC is a low back orthosis designed for use by individuals with sacroiliac pain, weakness, or injury. Light enough to be worn under clothing, this adjustable belt evenly distributes pressure. The Maternity SI-LOC features breathable fabric, wide non-slip pads, and a removable abdominal support pad. SIZES: Both models are available in small/medium and large/extra large.

    The Slant by OPTP, model 412, is a leg exerciser designed for use by individuals with lower extremity disabilities. Constructed of durable, high-density foam, this unit provides a sufficient angle to provide needed stretiching of the gastroc/soleus (back of the lower leg by standing on it. The device also helps improve balance.

    The Stretch Out Strap is an exercise band designed for use by individuals with arthritis, mobility disaabilities, neurological disabilities, and other physical disabilities. This exercise strap is double stitched in a series of loops for the hands and feet to enable the user to stretch independently and progressively. The device can also serve as a rope ladder or a leg lifter. The Strap is available alone or with an exercise videotape demonstrating 28 stretches for different areas of the body.

  28. WRIST RESTORE

    Wrist Restore is a wrist splint designed to aid in restoring wrist function for individuals with unstable wrists. This device consists of a soft tube with surrounding adjustable hook-and-loop straps. Designed not to slide upward during wear, this splint helps restore movement to several joint complexes in the wrist. SIZES: Small/medium or large/extra large.

  1. EXERCISE BALL WORKOUT VIDEO & EXERCISE BALL ADVANCED WORKOUT VIDEO

    "The Exercise Ball Workout Video" and "The Exercise Ball Advanced Workout Video" are exercise videotapes designed for use by individuals with neurological, balance, lower extremity, and extremity disabilities. Designed for all ages, these videos offer toning and low-impact workouts. The programs begin with a warm-up, ball aerobics, toning for a variety of areas, and a cool down. The basic video is 31 minutes long and the advanced program is 47 minutes long (each tape is sold separately).

  2. GYMNIC PLUS

    Gymnic Plus balls are exercise ballsand inflatable balance training devices designed for use by children and adults with balance, neurological, upper extremity, or lower extremity disabilities. Available in a range of sizes for balance, stretching, strengthening, or aerobic exercises, these balls are pump-inflatable and firmness can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing inflation. It comes with a home exercise guide with extensive exercise options. OPTIONS: Portable metal door bracket or non-slip webbing door strap.

  4. THERACANE Picture of THERACANE

    The Theracane is a nueromuscular stimulator designed to enhance pain management skills for individuals with soft tissue injuries or those with acute or chronic back pain, headache or cumulative trauma. The device may also be useful for those with fibromyalgia or arthritis or who have had a stroke. The Theracane is a fiberglass curved stick with six convenintly posistioned knobs on it and works on the basic concept of trigger points in the scapular region, lower back and shoulder. It also works for leg and foot cramps. Trigger points not only cause pain, but they also perpetuate muscle dysfunction, often inhibiting a muscle that should be contracting. Deactivating a trigger point provides the muscle with the opportunity to work more normally. This can be done with a standard home program that includes compression of a trigger point with the Theracane, a slow gentle stretch for that muscle and a gentle exercise to contract it. Patients do not have to hold the cane for a long time or apply a lot of pressure when they use it. It can be used in any position with only a few ounces of pressure. OPTIONS: 30-minute instructional video. WEIGHT: 1 pound, one ounce. COLOR: Blue. GUARANTEE: Two years.
