   Animal Habitats is a fully inclusive academic tutorial program designed to enhance language, reading, writing, speech, and cognitive skills for children in primary grades with developmental and physical disabilities. This collection of educational activities features a range of integrated support materials to effectively use the computer as a whole language tool in the classroom. This add-on to the IntelliTools Classroom Suite (see separate entry) covers all sight words on the Dolch pre-primer grade 2 list, as well as the 100 highest frequency words, focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, and vocabulary through sight words as the basis of strong reading skills. It includes 398 activities that provide as much as 26 hours of sequenced, targeted instruction that cover basic reading concepts.     Five Green & Speckled Frogs is a cause and effect training program designed for use with children with cognitive or multiple disabilities. Activities begin with cause and effect and progress to directionality and simple substraction.     The Jelly Bean Switch is a button or touch switch designed to control a wide range of electrically- or battery-operated devices and toys for people with upper extremity disabilities. The switch is contained in a high-impact disk and the entire surface of the switch is sensitive to pressure, requiring less than two ounces of pressure for activation. The Jelly Bean Switch can be mounted on any surface using readily available adhesives or they can be mounted on AbleNet's Slim Armstrong (see separate entry) or other switch mounting hardware for head control or control by other body parts. This switch comes with four interchangeable tops, enabling the user to change switch colors as desired. DIMENSIONS: The switch is 2.5 inches in diameter and 3 inches tall at its highest point.     Millie's Math House is an academic tutorial program designed to teach math concepts to individuals who have a learning disability. It has lively characters, colorful graphics and music to capture children's imaginations while they learn fundamental skills and concepts in six interactive activities. Reading is not required because all of the instructions and feedback are spoken or represented graphically. Students learn by experimenting with numbers, patterns, and shapes. The program has built in scanning for single switch users. COMPATIBILITY: Macintosh and IBM compatibles. The compact disk (CD) contains 2,700 photos in 30 different categories, along with a basic program that allows the user to format photos into various size flash cards with or without text. The high-resolution photos are shot against a plain background and are sorted into the following categories: Actions, animals, bathroom, bedroom, body, buildings, clothing, colors, electronics, emotions, food, furniture, holidays, household, kitchen, lineart, music, nature, opposites, people, places, prepositions, rooms, sequences, shapes, sports, tools, toys, travel, and vehicles. In addition to flash cards, the user can create lotto boards with different colored borders. OPTIONS: Regular edition or professional edition. 31. TEACH ME TO TALK

    Teach Me to Talk is a language tutorial program designed for use with children and adults with communication disabilities. This program offers three sections; part one offers pictures of 148 nouns, including animals, foods, transportation, household objects, and simple beginning sounds. Features that can be turned on or off on the fly include pictures morphing to the Mayer-Johnson symbol, a musical interlude before a word is spoken to engage attention, choice of having the word spoken in English or Spanish, movement with or without music prior to the word being spoken, text of the word displayed, male or female voice, excited voice option, automatic scanning, and step scanning. Section two offers 100 puzzles with 2, 3, 8, or 16 pieces that can be put together using cause and effect (pressing a switch causes the piec to be put into place), magna mouse (using the mouse or touch screen, the piece is dragged into place), or scanning (scanning the puzzle and selecting where the piece should go).
