Both units may be fitted with several seats with vinyl or fabric upholstery. Among the available seats are seats sized for children and a standing seat which can bring the user to a fully reclined position or to a full upright position. Both have front wheel drive and have 24 volt motors. A dual braking system uses an active electronic braking motor and two powerful magnetic brakes. The chairs are operated by a proportional joystick control located in armrest, but the control panel can be replaced by foot, chin, sip-and-puff or head controls. Movement may be interrupted at any point. Torso, calf, and thigh supports stabilize the user. As the backrest moves, the armrests move with it allowing the user to have easy access to the control box.
