  1. BABY JOGGER 2

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 12/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Baby Jogger 2 is a three-wheeled all-terrain stroller designed to allow children 6 weeks to four years of age to accompany parents who are walking, running, or hiking. FRAME (HxLxW): 38.75 x 50 x 25.5 inches with 16-inch wheels; 39.5 x 56 x 25.5 inches with 20-inch wheels. An optional extra tall handle for taller caregivers adds 3 to 4 inches to the stroller's height. The frame is made of anodized aluminum tubing and can be folded. When folded with wheels off the stroller measures 6.5 x 47 x 20 inches for both wheel sizes. Other features include a sun canopy, a storage basket, a safety wrist strap, an optional rain canopy, and an optional bug canopy. SEAT: Nylon seat with seatbelt. UPHOLSTERY: Removable, washable nylon sling upholstery is available in red, navy, jade, and sapphire. ARMRESTS: None. BRAKES: Bicycle-style caliper brake with a lock button for parking. WHEELS: 16- or 20-inch quick-release bicycle wheels. FOOTREST: Included. CAPACITY: 100 pounds. WEIGHT: 16.5 pounds with 16-inch wheels, 20 pounds with 20-inch wheels. This stroller is similar to the Baby Jogger (see separate entry) and is most commonly used by children with cerbral palsy. The Special Needs 3 is unique in that it offers all the support needed by the child, but loooks more like a race car rather than an orthopedic chair. The stroller is built extra strong so it is ideal for walking or running and can handle mud, snow and sand. It folds flat for storage. CUSHION: Padding is provided under the seat and on the handle frame. WHEELS: 16 or 20 inch quick release wheels that "pop" in or out. CAPACITY: Holds up to 150 pounds. WARRANTY: Lifetime frame warranty.

  3. SPECIAL NEEDS 5 JUNIOR

Features include an adjustable sun canopy, a large storage basket, a safety wrist strap, and a five point shoulder harness. FRAME (HxLxW): 40.25 x 58 x 28.75 inches. Folded, with wheels removed, the stroller is 12.5 x 40.25 x 22 inches. This stroller is available in red, navy blue, sapphire, or jade. SEAT (LxW): 14.5 x 14 inches. The seat back is 22 inches high. The seat includes a large mesh pocket on back of seat for storage. Optional modifications are available to lengthen the back and/or footwell. UPHOLSTERY: Fabric sling. FRAME: The telescoping frame is 37 x 21 x 9 inches when folded and features padded push handles. SEAT (HxWxD): 22 x 18 x 15 inches. The seat features a retractable, machine-washable sun canopy, wrist strap, and a 5-point safety harness. UPHOLSTERY: Padded royal blue upholstery. BRAKES: The stroller has a hand brake and a foot brake. WHEELS: 16-inch quick release wheels that "pop" in or out. FOOTRESTS: Footplate. CAPACITY: 150 pounds. WARRANTY: Lifetime frame warranty.

  5. SPECIAL NEEDS I & SPECIAL NEEDS II

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 3/2004) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Special Needs stroller is a three wheeled stroller with a sling seat. Easy to use on the beach or rough roads as well as on paved surfaces. Folds for transport. The Special Needs I stroller is larger than the standard baby Jogger and will carry children four to seven years depending on size and weight. Special seating inserts can be attached to the frame in place of the sling seat. 20 inch spoked wheels with pneumatic tires. Back height 20 inches, seat depth 11 inches, 14 inch leg length, seat width 9 inches. The Special Needs II stroller is the largest stroller with a fabric bucket sling seat. It is large enough to carry teens and small adults. Positioning inserts can be attached to frame. Push handle is on the back of frame, with a bicycle hand brake. Back height 24 inches, seat depth 14 inches, leg length 16 inches, seat width 15 inches. For over 50 pounds, a 1/2 inch axle is recommended.

  6. TWIN SPECIAL NEEDS 5 & TWIN SPECIAL NEEDS 5 JUNIOR

These twin strollers carry two children, or they can be converted to two single-seat mobility strollers. Features include an adjustable sun canopy, a large storage basket, a safety wrist strap, and a five point shoulder harness. FRAME: Available in red, navy blue, sapphire, or jade. SEAT (LxW): Each seat on the Special Needs 5 is 14.5 x 18 inches and 14.5 x 14 inches on the Special Needs 5 Junior. The back height is 22 inches for both models, and an optional backrest extension is available to extend the back to 28 inches high. The seats have large mesh pocket on back for storage. BRAKES: Hand brake with dual rear parking brakes. WHEELS: Comes with 16-inch outdoor wheels or converts to indoor swivel wheels.
