  1. FUNCTIONAL SKILLS SCREENING INVENTORY

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 02/93) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Functional Skills Screening Inventory (FSSI) is a domain-based behavioral checklist to be used in natural settings to assess critical living and working skills of persons with moderate to severe handicapping conditions. It can be used to assess current functioning and identify placement needs and options. FSSI can also be used to identify and prioritize training needs and goals, document progress in training and facilitate transition to adult living. The checklist of 343 items represents samples of skills required for functioning at various levels of independence in society. The program computes all scores, and records and prints out comments about the individual's performance on any item. System requires two disk drives and an 80 column card for operation. Three related programs are also available: Group Data Program to compile individual assessments into group profiles, Training Edition for self-evaluation program placement rating, and Employment Edition for determination of skills required for specific jobs. A demonstration disk is available ($30). COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PC and compatibles ($380) and Apple IIe ($340) computers.
