INSULGAGE GUIDE
--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 07/96) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Loading gauge enables the user to draw up a prescribed insulin dosage in a disposable syringe without searching for the correct mark on the measurement scale. Instead, a gauge is used to position the syringe plunger properly every time. The device can be cleaned with suds or alcohol, requires no sterilization, and is made from durable plastic. Requires no setting or adjustment. Gauges are available in a large range of dosage sizes for U-100. Made for use exclusively with particular brand and type of syringe; only for use with either disposable B-D Plastipak self- contained syringes or Monoject U-100 ICC syringes. Also available for B- D Lo-Dose 1/2 cc syringes. Two gauges can be used for a mixed dosage. Dosage size in units of insulin is marked on each gauge in either inkprint, braille, raised numbers or both raised numbers and braille. The raised numbered version has the dosage size marked by large, black, 3/16 deep, sharp-edged numbers bonded to the gauge. Printing is black for U-100.
