    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 08/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- MacroMaster/pro (formerly called echoBOX) is a keyboard macro storage device for individuals with physical disabilities. The MacroMaster is connected between the standard keyboard and the computer. The user can define up to 24 macros (strings of characters or commands) into the MacroMaster's memory. When the user presses a key on the MacroMaster, the macro programmed for that key will be sent to the computer just as if it had been typed in full on the standard keyboard. The MacroMaster has 12 keys plus a SHIFT key, and space for the user to affix custom labels by each key. Macros are stored in the MacroMaster/pro in non-volatile memory; that is, they are retained when the system is turned off, and no external power or internal battery is required to retain memory. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PS/2, and IBM PC computers. DIMENSIONS: 8 x 5 x 1 inches.
