  1. ORTHODERM CAT BED, ORTHODERM THERAPY BED, & ORTHODERM CONVERTIBLE

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 06/2008) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Air flotation mattresses utilize a nylon fabric coated with a breathable urethane membrane. Fabric is both water-proof and air-proof, yet vapor permeable. The non-porous or monolithic surface provides a solid barrier to liquids and bacteria. The smooth surface of the nylon fabric reduces friction to the skin, and the osmotic nature of the urethane coating transfers moisture away from skin without risk of dehydration. These beds also feature automatic maximum inflation control, automatic CPR dump, automatic seat deflate, automatic pressure compensation during articulation, stand-by power capabilities, fully covered air cushions, and air flow directed away from the patient environment. The Orthoderm CAT Bed is designed for acute care needs, and has a fully articulating bed frame that is adaptable for skeletal traction. Built-in scales are optional. The Orthoderm Therapy Bed is designed for home care and for use in skilled nursing centers, and meets "non-institutional" requirements for Medicare Part B coverage. This bed features automatic head and foot positioning. Trapeze attachment is optional. The Orthoderm Convertible replaces existing mattress, converting any bed into a low air loss bed. Can be used in any clinical setting. .
