  1. AQUANOMICS: THE LIBERTY, INDEPENDENCE, & FREEDOM

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 09/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Aquanomics Line of Technically Unique Bathing Systems (TUBS) includes the Liberty, Independence, and Freedom bathtubs. These acrylic/ABS coextruded plastic bathtub cabinets feature a door in the side wall that allows the user to walk into the tub rather than step into or have to be hydraulically lifted over the edge. The tub also has a raised seat at standard wheelchiar height that is aligned with the door so that the bather can transfer easily. Other features of the tubs include a molded, one-piece water chamber with integral molded seat (left or right side), and the easy entry door that seals on the inside. The gasket is made of inflatable synthetic latex and the door lock is 18/8 stainless still with a cast aluminum hinge. The Independence model is available for residential or commercial installation. In addition to standard features, the pre-plumbed residential option includes full flow valving, hot and cold shut off, and divertor spout; the commercial pre-plumbed unit includes full flow valving, thermoscopic temperature controller, and a hand held shower. The hand held shower has separate shutoff, pre-plumbed through a mixing valve with backflow preventer. WHIRLPOOL: The Freedom and Independence models feature a whirlpool with 3/4 horsepower pump and motor, two jets, and an air diaphragm controlled pump switch. OPTIONS: Also available from the manufacturer are a grab bar (16- or 20-inch lengths), a tub surround kit (5-piece, $149), and a disinfectant system ($199). POWER: 115 volt, 20 amp, GFCI protected circuit. DIMENSIONS: 30 x 60 x 32 inches is standard. Sill height is 39 inches, and tub entry height is 3 inches. CAPACITY: Water capacity is 48 gallons, 6 inches above the seat with a 150-pound occupant. WEIGHT: Shipping weight is 200 pounds. COLOR: Bone. WARRANTY: One-year warranty for noncommercial use, one year for commercial use. Liberty: bathtub with no special features.
