The Stickybear Thump activity builds typing skills in a fast-action game format. Students can practice and improve typing facility with text in a choice of categories in the Stickybear Stories activity. Students can select either timed practice or accuracy mode. Stickybear Typing contains 30 levels of difficulty and students can select their own level. Level 30 contains the most commonly misspelled words.     Stickybear Word Bop is a pre-reading skills tutorial program designed for use by teachers and parents working with children ages three and above who have learning or developmental disabilities. The program allows a child to use an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to learn vocabulary, reading, phonics, language skills and code breaking. The Word Bop action takes place on an arcade-like playing field. The child fires the jolly red popper cannon as objects float slowly by by tapping on the screen. Pop an object and it changes into its word and the device speaks the word at the same time. If the child "pops" the word, it changes back into the object, the device speaks the word again, and the object disappears. If the user clears all the objects, he or she moves to the next round. The program comes with more than 100 words and four levels of difficulty. Each level has multiple rounds to clear. Rewards and penalties appear at the top of the screen, and high scores are stored in the program. Available languages are English and Spanish.     Stickybear's Matching Mansion is an academic and pre-reading skills tutorial program designed for use by teachers and parents working with children ages three through six and up who are developmentally or physically disabled. This program allows a child to use an Apple iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad to learn basic reading skills. The program features a Fun Park Haunted Mansion with screechy bats and owls and assorted peculiar characters. The child starts the app by hitting PLAY, touches an open window and a character will hold up a sign with a picture on it, then touches another window and tries to match pairs of pictures. The shutter closes when there is a match, and the round is won when all pairs are matched. The score is displayed and the next round appears. There are three mansion choices: eight windows (four pairs) which is easiest and suitable for the youngest, 10 windows (five pairs) which requires more patience and skill, and 12 windows (six pairs) which is the most challenging. The program comes with seven levels of play, each targeted at a different reading skill, helping the child to build sight vocabularies, reading, phonics and memory. 1. Picture-Picture: Match pictures to like pictures. 2. Picture-Word: Match a picture to its name in word form by associating the word in letters with the picture. 3. Simple Nouns: Match words from a list of simple nouns by recognizing the letter patterns and listening to the words. 4. Rhyming Words: Match words that rhyme. 5. Sight Words: Match the sight words. 6. Beginning Consonants: Match pairs of dissimilar words that start with the same letter. 7.
