The Hello Direct Universal Amplified Handset increases the volume up to 25 dB (3 to 4 times normal levels), emphasizes sounds in the high frequency range, and filters out background sound. It automatically turns off when the phone is not in use. The Universal Amplified Handset is hearing aid compatible and can be used with any K-style (square) handset except Merlin or styles that have their keypad built into the handset.
