    --- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Scanning communicator. Adjustable frame holds dual sided illuminated display board. Holds picture, symbol or word communication overlay sheets of sizes 1 by 1, 1 by 2, 2 by 1, or 2 by 4 inches. Overlays available, preprinted or blank. Display sectioned into 64 squares. Scanning process occurs by automatic illumination of squares progressing across each row until a row is selected. Illumination then continues down the column of selected row until another selection is made. Two switches are used for scanning and selection. Scanning speed adjustable. Phase 1 has display board only. Phase 2 has display board plus RS 232 port. Allows voice output, computer and typewriter interfaces. LCD readout and hard copy printer. 16K memory. Audible alarm.
