    --- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- SURROUNDING PATTERNS is designed to develop visual perception, sequencing and reasoning skills. The student copies progressively more complex designs composed of simple shapes in different colors. The computer is programmed not to accept a wrong answer. PETER'S GROWING PATTERNS and WHAT'S NEXT develop skills in recognition of a pattern and the ability to generate the next element in the sequence. Different patterns are created using common shapes, objects or lines as building blocks. There are five levels of difficulty. An editor feature is included. HOBO'S LUCK is a race game played with four different colored dice appearing on the screen that helps to develop attention, group play, sequencing, and relationship between simple numbers and counting. The keyboard or a joystick can be used for input. Only the keys being used are active. A color monitor is necessary to use color features, although shading is used to simulate color on monochrome screens. COMPATIBILITY: For use on Apple II, and Commodore 64 computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: A color monitor is needed to use color features.
