(Verified 11/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Laser PC4 Laptop is a notebook / laptop computer designed to offer a number of organizing functions to assist you at work or at school for individuals with a cognitive, sensory or physical disability. The portable computer can be used to write and spell check documents, keep track of appointments and expenses, store a telephone list, create a gradebook spreadsheet, do scientific calculations, write BASIC programs and wake you with an alarm. The diskless laptop contains 2 Meg of built in programs and 128K of RAM to store all created files. Files can be saved indefinitely, output to a printer, or exported to a desktop computer. The keyboard is full size and the scrollable LCD screen displays 4 lines by 40 characters. The PC4 can be purchased with either IBM or Macintosh file software with the option to purchase a conversion kit to transfer files between IBM, Mac, and Apple II. OPTIONS: Include conversion kit, additional cables, and Thesaurus cartrdge. POWER: Comes with AC adapter. Runs on 4 AA batteries offering 40 continuous use. DIMENSIONS: 10W x 1.6H x 7.6D inches. WEIGHT: 2 pounds with batteries and case. WARRANTY: One year repair or replacement.
