    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 10/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- ACCESSS911, Personal Emergency Response Service program (PERS), is an emergency alert system designed to provide security, independence and peace of mind for individuals who are elderly or have a disability. This system is a hands free, two way voice system that simply connects to your telephone and automatically calls the National Response Center when you press the button on your pendant. Trained professionals at the National Response Center will immediately verify the emergency and notify local authorities. The pendant can be worn around the neck or wrist and is 100% waterproof. There is an additional bathroom transmitter that attaches to the bathroom wall, the most dangerous room in the house. In addition you will receive an Emergency Medical Card, in case of an accident or illness outside of the house. The emergency care personell at the scene can call the National Response Center and receive vital information on your medical conditions and medications. Included in the monthly service fee is 24 hour Customer Service and Technical Support Lines, and a nationwide toll free referral line.
