Easily attaches to any wheelchair from adult to 12 inch juniors. Chair remains foldable with removal of battery carrying case. Drive assembly is gear driven with completely sealed four pole, permanent magnet motor and ball bearing box. Box is cast aluminum with sealed steel and cast iron gears. Solid state fully proportional electronics. All packages (battery, electronics and hand control boxes) are vacuum formed of grey high impact ABS plastic and are splash proof. Wheels easily disengaged for freewheeling operation. Range of about 6 hours on one charge. Unfolded width same as manual chair. 12. TARSYS 4XP TILT SYSTEM

(Verified 5/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Tarsys 4XP Tilt System is a powered tilt system designed to provide a cost effective pressure relief and postural benefits for persons with neuro-muscular disabilities or spinal cord injuries. The system is compatible with most hemi, recliner, and shortwheel conventional chairs. With a 45 degree range of tilt, the system features low seat heights for accessibility to tables and desks, an optional relay control for interfacing with wheelchair switch options, and a centrally mounted battery tray that can be adjusted to alter the center of gravity for driveability and stability.

13. TARSYS TILT & RECLINE SYSTEMS

(Verified 5/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Tarsys Tilt and Recline Systems are powered reclining and tilt systems designed to address the functional and physiological needs for persons with neuro-muscular disabilities and spinal cord injuries. The systems (models for P300, Arrow XT/4M/5M, Xcaliber) are designed to offer the greatest amount of pressure redistribution with full recline and 45 degrees of tilt. They are integrated with the wheelchair to provide low seat heights, maximum function and full compatibility. In the Recline mode, the systems are designed to provide a shear reduction system that allows the user to independently adapt to changes in posture and seating positions; in the Tilt mode, the system utilizes standard backposts, armrests and legrests for interfacing of modular or custom backrests and seating components; optional power elevating legrests can also be added to accomodate circulatory problems; these legrests are designed to be elevated in either a combined mode, an individual mode (left or right), or in an automatic sychronized fashion.

1. AQUATEC FORTUNA

   --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 01/2006) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Aquatec Fortuna is a portable powered bath lift designed for use by children and adults with mobility disabilities. Available for standard and jacuzzi-style tubs, this lift can be customized to suit the user's needs and features a reclining backrest that reclines from 80 to 45 degrees and a floating hand-held controller. The unit includes latex-free cover mats and suction cups to secure the base to the tub. POWER: Uses a sealed lead acid battery with no memory (battery and charger are included). The battery supports multiple up and down cycles per charge, with the number depending on user weight. The lift safety feature does not permit the lift to lower if insufficient battery power remains to raise the lift. OPTIONS: Reclining lateral support backrest, headrest, pillow, wedge cushion, carrying bag set, and others. DIMENSIONS: The standard model seat is 18 inches deep x 15 inches wide and 28 inches wide with the flaps down. The seat on the jacuzzi model is 34 inches wide with the flaps down. The unit is 25 inches long. The standard back height is 25 inches and the width is 14 inches. The base is 11 inches wide and 21 inches long.
