  1. CRASH

    Crash is a driving skills tutorial program designed for use with individuals with learning disabilities. Intended for use with students preparing to take a driving test to obtain a driver's license, this game covers all aspects of driving responsibility. At the start of the game players are given $250 to cover license fees, gas, automobile maintenance, accidents, tickets, hospital fees, insurance, etc. One player assumes the role of "Business Manager," acting as law enforcement and the insurance company. This player issues tickets, assesses fines, and contributes to costs. The other players begin with a driving test and then work their way down the streets of the board, answering questions, and observing traffic laws. The set includes the game board, cards, driver's licenses, one die, eight playing pieces, play money, and instructions.

  2. PHONICS PHACTS & PHUN

    PHonics PHacts & PHun is a language tutorial program designed for use with individuals with learning disabilities. The set includes PHonics PHacts ($55.95), a set of approximately 700 cards that presents phonics drills and activities in a flash card format. PHonics PHun is a board game designed to be used with the card set. The game is played by the teacher and from two to ten students. PHonics PHacts covers 10 phonics skills: Beginning and ending consonants, long and short vowels, initial and final blends and clusters, vowel blends and clusters, "R" controlled vowels, commonly confused words, and unusual spellings. Answers to drills and activities are provided on the back of each card.

  3. S.O.S. IN SEARCH OF SERVICES

    S.O.S. In Search of Services is an independent living skills tutorial designed for use with individuals with cognitive disabilities. Intended for two to eight players, this game provides true-to-life experiences in earning an income, locating and paying for services, taking out and repaying loans, and budgeting money. As players move their pieces around the board, they encounter the need for services which they must use the Yellow Pages to locate and to determine how the businesses and organizations can be reached. Players must also manage their money in acquiring services. In each round, one player serves as the banker and circulates they play money. At the end of the game, players count their money and the one with the most is declared the winner. The set includes the game board, play money, cards, one die, eight playing pieces, and instructions.

  4. TOTAL LIVING

    Total Living is an independent living skills tutorial designed for use with individuals with learning disabilities. This one-semester curriculum is designed to enable students to learn to organize the various aspects of life into a manageable whole. Topics include budgeting, the extended worls, family, health, household, leisure, community, and work. The curriculum includes hands-on problem solving exercises.

  5. YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN

    You're On Your Own is an independent living skills tutorial designed for use with individuals with cognitive disabilities. Activities in the kit cover getting a job, opening and maintaining checking and savings accounts, finding an apartment, grocery shopping, paying bills, going shopping, doing laundry, buying a car, visiting the doctor, understanding insurance, hosting a party, paying taxes, and more. The kit includes an instruction manual, 65 information cards, 119 reproducible worksheets, 91 folders with labels and color-coded stickers, one grocery store book, one department store book, one real estate book, and one job information book. OPTIONS: An extra set of 65 information cards ($40), one extra grocery store book ($15), and one extra department store book ($10).
