MEDICALERT IDENTIFICATION JEWELRY
MedicAlert Identification Jewelry are identification tags designed to alert medical professionals to the medical condition of the wearer. MedicAlert is a membership organization which provides members with a standard identification bracelet engraved with the universal symbol for the healing arts on the front and with specific medical conditions (illnesses, medications taken, allergies, disabilities, etc.) and an information telephone number engraved on the back. The phone number may be called collect by medical or emergency personnel 24 hours a day for medical information regarding the wearer. For a small additional fee, special jewelry including smaller and larger bracelets and pendants are available.

RUFUS THE BEAR WITH DIABETES
Rufus the Bear with Diabetes is an educational toy intended to assist children diagnosed with diabetes to learn to manage their condition. The bear wears a MedicAlert bracelet inscribed with "insulin-dependent diabetes" and has patches sewn on his arms, legs, and stomach to illustrate where insulin injections may be administered.

HEALTH WATCH PERSONAL RESPONSE SYSTEM (MODEL HW9000)
The Health Watch Personal Response System, model HW9000, is an emergency alert system with monitoring service designed for use by seniors or individuals with disabilities who are at risk for medical emergencies. The system includes a base unit and a personal transmitter pendant ("Amie") with a button that the user presses in case of an emergency to contact a monitoring center. The compact, waterproof transmitter is worn on a soft neck cord or on the wrist. When activated, a red light near the call button glows for a few seconds to confirm that a signal was sent. Standard features include an automatic daily system self-test and continuous pendant self-check; voice prompts in English or Spanish for system troubleshooting; the ability to store up to six messages or medication reminders; and phone line seizure that allows the system to take control of the phone system to contact the response center. OPTIONS: Belt-clip fall detector that automatically contacts the response center, motion detector, and wellness check-in (inactivity clock that alerts the response center automatically if the user misses a preset check-in time). POWER: Uses household current or backup battery (included).
