  1. VOICE MATE Picture of VOICE MATE

Voice Mate is a hand-held voice-recognition digital organizer designed for use by persons who are blind or have low vision. Voice recognition enables users to store and retrieve information such as phone numbers, addresses, and appointments using voice commands. When the user speaks a name that is already stored, Voice Mate repeats it and finds the phone number. In response to a double click, Voice Mate will send a touch tone signal to the user's telephone receiver to dial the number. In addition to a phone book and dialing assistance, Voice Mate features an appointment book, voice notepad, talking alarm clock, and talking calculator. Voice Mate speaks all menus and control panel options, and also speaks digits as they are spoken. Voice Mate has 40 minutes of recording time, and comes with earphones for privacy. POWER: Uses triple-A batteries (included). OPTIONS: Leather case and personal computer transfer link; and language support for English, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, or Swedish.
