  1. TWILIGHT LIGHTED BALL SERIES Picture of TWILIGHT LIGHTED BALL SERIES

    --- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 03/2009) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Twilight Lighted Ball Series are an illuminated basketball, football, soccer ball, and volleyball (each sold separately) designed for use by children and adults with low vision. These balls use patented Hyperlight high-performance LED lighting for visability in low light or to make them more visible to those with low vision. These balls feature the same makeup as standard high-performance balls, with high-grade durable exteriors and inflatable inner bladders. The lighting unit is placed outside the bladder, is removable for battery replacement, and is impervious to pounding, vibration, and weather. The on/off switch is included in the unit. The cap that covers the unit is made of thick, high-grade rubber flush with the ball surface to eliminate a dead spot. To turn on the light, a standard inflation needle is inserted in a self-sealing hole in the cap. When the needle is inserted, it makes contact with the switch, turning the ball on. The light automatically turns off automatically after five minutes of not being used. POWER: Use replaceable batteries (included). SIZES: The basketball and soccer ball are available in youth, intermediate, and official sizes. The football is available in youth and official sizes.
