    The Adjustable Flashlight Cane is an adjustable straight cane designed for use by individuals with walking or balance disabilities. This cane features a T-shaped wooden handle with a built-in rear flashing light and a height-adjustable aluminum shaft. The cane also has a secret built-in storage compartment. POWER: The flashlight uses two triple-A batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS: The height adjusts from 30 to 39 inches. COLOR: The handle is faux burled walnut and the shaft is available in a choice of black, gold, or brown.

    The Advantage-Rail System is a standing transfer aid designed for use by individuals with mobility and balance disabilities. Intended for use beside the bed, toilet, or bathtub, the unit consists of a height-adjustable support rail with a padded horizontal handle and a floor plate. The rail fits in the low-profile floor plate with a push-down-and-turn motion, allowing the rail to be used in multiple locations. With a gentle lift, the handle pivots with the user to assist in taking small steps for safe transfers. When the handle is released, it locks in position to aid the user to a seated position. OPTIONS: Additional floor plates are available to enable the system to be used in multiple locations. DIMENSIONS: The height adjusts from 30 to 38 inches. CAPACITY: 250 pounds.

    The Amefa Specific Select Utensils are a collection of cutlery designed for individuals who do not have full use of their arms and hands. The pieces are made of highly polished, heavy duty stainless steel with dishwasher-safe plastic handles. Knife edges are serrated and curved, forks have four tines, and spoons are relatively deep. Each piece is available with a straight or curved handle. A rocker knife is also available. Each piece is sold separately. The fork and spoon with the curved handle are available in a choice of right- or left-hand angles.

    The Answer is a voice activated answering machine designed for use by individuals with upper extremity disabilities, spinal cord injury, or vision disabilities. Completely voice activated, this digital device has no operating buttons. The unit stores up to 60 messages with a time stamp (up to 15 total minutes of speech). The unit recognizes more than 16 different commands, requires no voice training, and can be accessed remotely by telephone using voice commands. The unit constantly "listens" to a predetermined trigger phrase. Once this trigger is recognized, the unit will listen to a command from the user. Examples of typical commands are: "Play New" to play new incoming messages, "Tell Time" to tell the current time and day, and "Set Volume" to set the system's volume level. POWER: Uses the included power supply. WARRANTY: One year warranty on parts and labor.

    The Assista-Rail is a transfer aid for beds designed for use by individuals with balance or mobility disabilities. This inverted-U shaped rail slides between mattress and box spring and the required, included safety strap with side-release buckle and anti-slide grips prevents the rail from shifting during use. Made of heavy-gauge steel, the rail is equipped with a non-Latex foam grip. DIMENSIONS: The unit extends 24 inches under the mattress and up from the mattress 16 inches. The rail extends along the side of the bed 18 inches. OPTIONS: Assista-Cane handle, extension leg for Assista-Cane, and Bed Pocket. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. COLOR: White with grey grip.

    The Bagel Biter Guillotine is a bagel slicer and cutting guide designed for use by individuals who are blind or have low vision or fine motor or upper extremity disabilities. This bagel slicer has a serrated, Xylan-coated, non-stick blade behind an acrylic safety shield. The bagel is sliced while held in the Bagel Biter's specially designed base. The unit is upper shelf dishwasher safe.

    The Bausch & Lomb 5-Inch Round Magnifier, model 81-33-05, is a handheld magnifying lens designed for use by individuals with low vision. The round lens has 2x power with a 4x inset lens for detail. The ErgoTouch grip handle is rounded to fit the user's hand. DIMENSIONS: Lens diameter is 5 inches.

    The Bottom Buddy Toilet Tissue Holder is a toileting aid designed for use by individuals with grasping, neurological, reaching, or upper extremity disabilities or spinal cord injury. This device has a curved handle and a rounded head. The soft, flexible head has three tulip-petal sections that pull back to allow the user to insert and grip any toilet paper or pre-moistened wipe securely. Once inserted, the toilet tissue covers the rounded head and the user does not need to touch it again. A press of the button on the back of the handle engages a rod that pushes out the soiled tissue into the toilet bowl. A 10.5-inch long storage bag is included. DIMENSIONS: 11 inches long. WEIGHT: 4 ounces.

    The Dependa-Bar is a wall-mounted grab bar designed for use by individuals with balance, walking, or mobility disabilities. Designed for use in the tub or shower or beside the toilet, this bar consists of a vertical wall-mounted grab bar with a horizontal fixed bar at the bottom, and a moveable P-shaped bar in the center. The moving bar locks every 45 degrees (5 positions), providing a support rail that moves with the user. This stainless steel unit mounts securely to structural studs behind bathtub walls of any construction (fiberglass, plastic, tile wall, etc.). The bolt pattern is compatible with the WingIts Fastening System (sold separately) if wall stud spacing does not allow for direct mounting. OPTIONS: Plastic bath board. DIMENSIONS: The pivoting rail is 30.5 inches high and one-quarter inch in diameter. The P-shaped dual rail extends 18 in length from the bathtub wall with 6-inch spacing between horizontal rails. The horizontal fixed grab bar is available in 18 or 32 inches long. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. COLOR: White or stainless steel.

The device fits over conventional round door knobs to provide a lever handle and features an opening to allow full key access. The Leveron is constructed of high impact resin, fits left or right door openings, and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use. A plastic installation wrench is included.     The Lumifier Handstand 5X, model 22724, is a magnifying lens with light designed for use by individuals with low vision. This magnifier has an optical-grade magnifying lens that magnifies objects five times, with two cool white LED lights for illumination. The magnifier has an ergonomic rubber coated body with a metal kick-stand for hands-free use and a flexible neck that allows the magnifier to bend into position for activities such as reading, sewing, arts and crafts, and fly tying. POWER: Uses 3 triple-A batteries (not included). DIMENSIONS (HxLxW: 0.8 x 8.1 x 3 inches.

    The Matey Pocket-Fold Reaching Aid, model F76954, is a folding aluminum reacher with pistol trigger hand grip and jaw-type opening. This device features a voluntary closing action; pressure must be maintained to continue grip. A magnet at the tip aids in picking up small metal items. DIMENSIONS: 22 inches long when open; folds to 12.5 inches. 2.5-inch maximum grip. WEIGHT: 6 ounces.

    The P.T. Rail is a wall grab bar for toilet designed for use by individuals with balance, neurological, or mobility disabilities. This P-shaped unit provides rigid support and features dual offset rails to reduce wrist strain when using the lower rail. This rail is available for right or left side mouting in a fixed model or in a hinged model that folds out of the way when not in use. The hinge holds the rail in whatever position it is placed. OPTIONS: Toilet tissue roll holder and floor mast for floor mounting. DIMENSIONS: 28 or 32 inches. COLOR: White (standard) or stainless steel (special order).

    The Smart-Rail is a transfer aid designed to assist individuals with mobility and balance disabilities in entering and exiting the bed. The steel rail attaches to a steel frame that slips between the mattress and the box springs. Safety straps provide additional support in anchoring the unit to the bed. The unit locks in place at the bedside and lifting it to unlock it allows it to swing out to assist in standing. Models are available for standard and hospital beds. OPTIONS: Leg extenders. DIMENSIONS (WxDxH): 32 x 24 x 30 inches. The rail is 16 inches wide between the base legs. CAPACITY: 250 pounds.

    The Surfboard Voice Activated Remote is a television remote control designed for use by individuals with vision, fine motor, or mobility disabilities, arthritis, or spinal cord injury. This remote controls the television, VCR, DVD, cable, and satellite dish with the voice commands. The Help button talks the user through the automated setup for TV, cable, or satellite equipment. Although it requires more programming, it can also be used with a VCR, DVD player, or a Tivo. If the brand in use is not in the library of codes, the Surfboard can learn the commands from the existing remote control. This remote is designed to listen for a specific keyword (factory set to "Surfboard") and then to the user's command. The factory set listen time is 10 minutes, but it can be extended to one hour, four hours, or forever. This remote comes with 5 pre-programmed (speaker independent) commands: Power, channel up, channel down, previous, and favorite. These commands can be replaced with up to 12 user-selected commands. The alternate commands can be used to access to other features and functions used regularly. A customized keyword for waking up the remote can also be selected. POWER: Uses an electrical outlet via a 6-foot regulated 6-volt power adapter or four triple-A rechargeable batteries (not included). The power adapter serves as a battery charger. WARRANTY: 90-day manufacturer's warranty.
