(Verified 05/2012) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---Communipack is a communication book designed for use by individuals with cognitive, communication, or speech disabilities. This lightweight communication pack is worn around the waist. It has a ring binder that holds standard pages for holding pictures, schedule pages, and a zippered clear plastic pouch. The standard page is made of washable fabric that allows placement and removal of Velcro-backed symbols, and holds approximately eighteen one-inch or six two-inch picture symbols per side. Schedule pages are made of laminated plastic with Velcro attachements for for eight one-inch or six two-inch picture communication symbols per side to give the user a visual schedule of activities for the day. The zipper on the plastic pouch has a large pull for users with fine motor disabilities. The unit has an elastic waistband with Nylon webbing and a side-fastening buckle. A durable D-ring is threaded through the band for attaching items such as communication cards or key rings. The unit comes with a pen holder, a clear plastic identification pouch, a multipurpose pouch, a schedule page, and two pages for holding pictures. OPTIONS: Extra standard pages; foldable long pages; extra schedule pages; and an extra zippered pouch. DIMENSIONS (LxW): The closed folder is 6 x 8 inches. The open folder is approximately 8 x 16 inches. The standard fabric page and the laminated schedule page are 4.5 x 7 inches. Optional long page is 7 x 13 inches. Zippered pouches are 3.5 x 7 inches. The ring binder is 7 inches wide.
