The Comtek Companion AT-72 FM wireless auditory assistance kit is a personal FM amplification system designed for persons who use a hearing aid. The Companion is an auditory assistance system that creates a wireless FM sound link between a transmitter worn by a speaker and a receiver worn by the person with a hearing impairment. This link enables intelligible speech to be heard even in noisy situations or locations with a lot of background noise. The kit includes the following: one M-72AT transmitter; one PR-72b personal receiver with plug-in frequency selector; one AT-350 lapel microphone; one SM-N earphone assembly; one NTC-102 neckloop transducer; one NBC9-2R battery charger and two rechargeable batteries; one CB-48 attenuator/adapter cable; two belt clip pouches; and a carry case. Other kits include other options including what is listed above. Option A comes with one PR-72b personal receiver with plug in frequency selector and an external microphone/audio input, as well as one AT-350T lapel environmental microphone. Option C comes with one PR-72b personal receiver with plug in frequency selector and raised volume control. OPTION D is Option C with an additional LS-2 light weight headphone. The Smart Mic package comes with one PR-72b personal receiver with plug in frequency selector and a smart-mic receiver with automatic priority microphone which includes one M-4020P small plug in environmental microphone. The Smart-Mic TCR package adds on one TCR telecoil receiver to the Smart Mic package. Frequency Response: 100 Hz to 10 KHz with M4005 microphone. Signal-to-Noise Ratio: Better than 60 dB, related to output. Receiver Audio Output: 2.5 volts RM, adjustable with volume control. 138dB SPL with 100 ohms SM-N earphone. R.F. Carrier Frequency: 72 to 76 MHz. Receiver Channel Separation: 50 KHz or 200 KHz channels. Frequency Stability: .005% crystal controlled. System Range: Signal-to-noise ratio in excess of 50 dB at 200 feet typical (500 feet in favorable conditions). Special Features: Charging access through input and output jacks for use with the NBC 9-2 Battery Conditioner. Automatic receiver turn-off if output plug is removed. POWER: Battery Life: Up to 40 hours when used with a 9 volt alkaline battery. Six hours of operation with a rechargeable nickel \cadmium battery VTR 9-100. OPTIONS: Tabletop Microphone available from Potomac Technologies. Additional receivers are available from Hear-More Inc. for $238.50. DIMENSIONS: 1-1/16 by 2-1/4 by 3-1/4 inches. WEIGHT: 4 oz. WARRANTY: 1 year on parts and labor for transmitter and receiver.
