The Compact Pediatric 997 is a child's manual wheelchair designed for use by children with lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury as well as amputees. FRAME (HxLxW): 31 to 34 x 35 or 36.5 x 20, 22, or 24 inches. Lightweight folding chrome-plated frame with composite side panel. Folded dimensions (LxW) are 26 x 11 inches. Anti-tippers and an anti-folding device are optional. SEAT (LxW): 14 x 12, 14, or 16 inches. The back height is 14 to 16 inches. UPHOLSTERY: Black padded nylon upholstery. ARMRESTS: Wrap around swing-back padded arms. BRAKES: Adjustable toggle wheel locks are standard. Wheel lock extension tubes are optional. CASTERS: 5 x 1 inch front caster wheels with polyurethane tires and height-adjustable front caster forks. WHEELS: 20 x 1 inch rear molded wheels with lightweight polyurethane tires and adjustable rear axle positions. Pneumatic tires and pneumatic tires with airless inserts are optional. Composite handrims are standard; projection handrims and a one arm drive are optional. FOOTRESTS: Cam action swing away detachable footrests or legrests with high impact composite foot plates. Elevating legrests are optional. Front riggings extend from 16 to 21 inches. Leg straps and an anti-theft lock for front riggings are optional. OPTIONS: Amputee adapter; anti-theft bar; wheelchair tray; IV rod attachment and oxygen tank holder. CAPACITY: 220 pounds. WEIGHT: 24 to 26 pounds.
