ZOOMTEXT MAGNIFIER / SCREEN READER
ZoomText Magnifier/Screen Reader is a screen reader and magnification program designed for use by individuals with low vision. This program provides all the features of ZoomText Magnifier (see separate entry) plus screen reading capability. In addition to the screen magnification features, this program also provides screen reading that echoes typing, reads information pointed to by the mouse, and speaks program events as they occur. Flexible verbosity settings gives the user complete control over the amount of information spoken by ZoomText. An AppReader feature reads documents, Web pages, and email, from within the parent application. This enables users to automatically read through an entire document or manually navigate by word, line, or sentence. In addition, a SpeakIt tool enables reading of selected areas of the screen by clicking or dragging with the mouse. Any text that is visible on the screen can be spoken, even if it is outside the active program. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Pentium II or higher processor; Windows XP, ME, 2000, NT4 (Service Pack 6) or 98; Internet Explorer 4.0 or later; High Color (16-bit) or True Color (24- or 32-bit) display driver; a minimum of 128 megabytes (MB) RAM (256 MB recommended); and a Windows sound card.
