(Verified 05/2013) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. ---WinZoom USB Magnifier/Reader is an accessibility software module designed for use by individuals with low vision. This portable module can be plugged into the USB port of any Windows-compatible computer to run WinZoom Magnifier/Reader (see separate record), a screen magnification and reader program which can magnify screens from 1.5 to 36 times. The software can be installed and run without administrative privileges, allowing the user to run the software on public computers and borrowed computers. The module can be attached to a keychain and carried in a pocket or purse. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM and compatible computers. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS: Windows XP with service pack 2 or Vista operating system; Intel Pentium 1.6 gigahertz (Ghz) or equivalent processor; 1 gigabyte (GB) RAM; 15 megabytes (MB) of hard drive space; USB 2.0 port; Windows compatible sound; and Internet Explorer 6.0+.
