Picture of SLEEPSAFER, THE The SleepSafer is a bed designed for active children and adults with physical or cognitive disabilities. The head and footboards extend below the mattress, eliminating the gaps between the head/foot board or side rails and mattress, thus reducing the chance of entrapment. The full-length side locking safety rails are made of wood and have clear windows for ease in viewing. The safety rails swing down and are removable. The bed includes a foundation (bunkie board or boxspring); premium pressure-reducing, memory foam mattress with a fire-retardant, moisture proof covering; locking casters; and standard shipping with in the continental US. ASSEMBLY: SleepSafer beds require assembly; instructions and wrenches are provided. OPTIONS: Rail pads are available. SIZES: Twin or full. DIMENSIONS: Depending on whether a box spring or bunkie board is used and where the frame is installed, the safety rail height above the mattress ranges from 24 to 36 inches. CAPACITY: 250 pounds. COLOR: Available in oak or maple.
