The Sound Field System is an FM amplification system designed for use by individuals who are hard of hearing. The system includes a single speaker that provides full coverage for a classroom or other room. The system also includes a Comtek M-216 body pack transmitter and a Comtek PR-216 receiver, which links the transmitter to the speaker and which can also be used as a personal body-pack receiver. Additional receivers can be used by multiple listeners. The body-pack transmitter may be used with a unidirectional clip-on lapel microphone or with a noise-canceling, head-worn microphone, and can be connected to another audio source such as a TV, VCR, or CD player. Model TA-5 has a speaker that may be set on a shelf or mounted a tripod stand (included). The model TA-6 speaker is smaller and can be set on a shelf or table. POWER: Uses 120 volts alternating current (AC); the receiver is phantom-powered directly from the speaker. WEIGHT: Model TA-5 weighs 17.5 pounds; model TA-6 weighs 7 pounds. WARRANTY: One year.
