This magnifier is composed of a hand-held digital magnifier attached to a pair of electronic glasses with built-in screens on which the user can see magnified images up to 28 times the size of the original. The user places the magnifier on a curved or flat surface and then views a virtual image on the glasses. This magnifier can be used to read labels on cans and medicine bottles as well as books, newspapers, and magazines. Users can control the level of magnification and brightness, and select between three different viewing modes (standard, high contrast positive, and high contrast negative). The system comes with a tracking tool called MaxTrak that helps guide the user to read straight across a page. Maxport includes a sturdy, weather-resistant carrying case. POWER: Uses rechargeable battery (included, with battery charger) or alternating current (AC) adapter (included); the battery allows three hours of continuous operation when charged. OPTIONS: Black and white or color. WEIGHT: Glasses weigh four ounces. WARRANTY: One year.
