FRAME: This power-base chair has a non-folding steel frame. The frame is 40.5 inches long and 25 inches wide. The turning radius is 25 inches. The chair comes standard in black with graphite gray accents and black with red, purple, or royal blue accents is available at extra cost. CONTROLS: Programmable controller, remote swing-away joystick with a choice of right or left mounting, and membrane switch for power features are standard. Center mounting, a retractable joystick, an extended holder, a programmer for the controller, and a toggle switch for power features are optional. Adapted driving controls such as a chin control, head control, and sip-and-puff are available. FWD: Front wheel drive with a low center of gravity. SEAT: Standing seat with backrest, chest and knee supports, and solid seat pan is standard. A seat belt and calf supports are also standard. The seat is available in four sizes (width x depth) 13 x 10 inches, 13 x 11 inches, 13 x12 inches, and 13 x 13 inches. The width is adjustable between 8 and 13 inches with optional thigh supports. The seat height and depth are adjustable. A variety of options including a removable headrest, and lateral supports are available. POWER RECLINE: Power recline with shear reduction ranging from 90 to 170 degrees is optional. SEAT ELEVATOR: A power seat elevator is standard. CUSHION: Seat cushion is standard. UPHOLSTERY: Leatherette is standard. ARMRESTS: Flip-up, adjustable 8-inch armrests are standard. BRAKES: Electronic. CASTERS: 2 x 8 inch rear casters are standard. WHEELS: 3 x 14 inch front drive wheels. FOOTRESTS: Standard. OPTIONS: Attendant control, lights and horn, and lap tray. POWER: Uses two group 24 gel batteries. The charger is included. SPEEDS: A speed limiter dial is standard. Programmable electronics allow rates of acceleration, deceleration, and forward, reverse and turning speeds to be programmed. Maximum forward speed is 5 miles per hour. The range per charge is 18 to 24 miles. CAPACITY: 85 pounds with pediatric seating. WEIGHT: 285 pounds without batteries.
