(Verified 01/2005) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- The Simplicity Series 6 is a voice input environmental control unit that can be used to control lights, appliances, phones, electric beds, television, VCR, cable box and accessories (page turners, door openers, etc). Additional lamp and appliance modules can be added to the basic unit. Works through standard house wiring, and operates up to an hour on battery backup in case of power failure. A computer interface allows the user to connect it to any IBM compatible computer offering full control of the keyboard. Word prediciton software is provided to enhance typing speed. Optional remote microphone allows full control from wheelchair. Input type: Speech recognition. Selection Method: direct selection. Output type: Wireless. Size: Contact manufacturer.
