--- DISCONTINUED. (Verified 11/2002) RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- LPDOS is a screen access program that displays large print on the computer screen. The user can choose from a range of 25 larger print sizes, up to 12 times standard size, while running standard commercial software such as word processing programs, spreadsheets, and programs for communication with mainframes and networks. The font used is a Helvetica typeface similar to that used in large print publications. Everything the user types or the computer displays appears in large print. The user can modify the level of type magnification or switch between magnified and standard size type. The program offers variable speed panning to view any part of the enlarged page. LPDOS also supports the full range of EGA and VGA screen colors. The user can change the color of individual fields or the entire screen. Contact manufacturer for information about other features. EGA or VGA are highly recommended for use with LPDOS; the program also works with MCGA computers and CGA laptops with some limitations. A fully featured demo disk that limits the user to 20 minute work sessions is available from the manufacturer free of charge. COMPATIBILITY: For use on IBM PS/2, IBM PC, and Toshiba laptop computers.
