The Cycl-One is a cycle attachment for manual wheelchairs designed to transform the chair into a hand-propelled cycle. The attachment consists of a front wheel, handcrank shaft, and attachments for mounting onto the wheelchair frame. FRAME: The frame is made of high tensile steel tubing and the crankset is alloy with a 28-tooth chainring (3 and 12 speed models) and 34 tooth chainring on the 48-speed model. HANDLES: The "together"-style hand pedals with parallel horizontal handgrips are designed to be cranked simultaneously in a rowing motion. WHEEL: Front wheel is 20 inches in diameter with a 1 3/8-inch wide threaded tire. BRAKES: Internal hub actuated by back pedaling. GEARING: Three, 12, or 48 speed models. Shift levers are SACHS Torpedo trigger style on the 3-speed, and Shimano Light Action on the 12- and 48-speed models. OPTIONS: Available accessories for the Cycl-One attachments include vertical handle grips, a fender for the wheel, additional rim-style brake, water bottle and cage, and a cycling computer. Accessories include a backpack, helmet, instructional video, quad cuffs, and tool kit. COLORS: 11 colors are available at no additional cost; 3 custom colors are available for an additional $105; 3 custom splatter patterns are available for an additional $340; special effects and custom paint jobs are available for an additional $420.
