POWER MODULE (MODEL 2210)
--- DISCONTINUED. RETAINED IN DATABASE FOR REFERENCE. --- Core of control system to convert traditional powered wheelchair for switch control. Compatible with most 24 volt powered chairs. Operates with an actuator and control to process the power supplied by the wheelchair batteries to provide controlled power to the wheelchair drive motors and other system components. Features forward latch/speed control function to allow continuous forward wheelchair operation without maintaining continuous operation of actuating switch, plus the ability to select any of 8 forward speeds up to the maximum speed set by the attendant. Once forward latched, a right or left command will cause the wheelchair to veer in that direction. A momentary reverse command unlatches the forward drive. Latch function may be inhibited by a switch on the module. Emergency stop switch immediately halts wheelchair. Also features momentary power boost for initiating a turn, speed and rate of acceleration adjustment, internal controls for motor balance, turning boost amount and turning boost duration, charger lock out system to prevent accidental wheelchair operation during changing, dynamic braking forward and reverse veer control, audible back up warning alarm. Attaches to wheelchair rear frame utilizing various mounting kits.
