Article describing NEWSLINE, which is a free service used by people who are blind or have low vision to read newspapers through any touch-tone telephone. The service was developed by the National Federation of the Blind, and is available to subscribers in all 50 states, thanks to a 4 million-dollar grant from the Institute of Museums and Libraries. Users simply pick up a touch-tone phone, dial the NEWSLINE number, listen to the menu, and choose options by tapping numbers on the phone keypad.
