Guide to Low-Cost/No-Cost Online Tools for People With Disabilities 2005

Assistive technology (AT) resource guide developed by the Northern Illinois Center for Adaptive Technology in cooperation with the Alliance for Technology Access. The guide’s purpose is to provide information on resources that have the potential to increase access to computers for people with disabilities. The main focus in on low-cost and no-cost resources found on the Internet for three main audiences: (1) community-based organizations who want to provide computer AT access for people with disabilities, (2) people with disabilities and their families, and (3) AT service providers. Information on a variety of topics is provided, including funding, literacy, early learning, English language proficiency, and resources for specific disabilities.
