Choosing and Using a Cell Phone with Your Hearing Aid or Cochlear Implant

Article provides answers to the most frequently asked questions about cellular phones and the new Federal Communications Commission regulations. These regulations require that cellular phones be manufactured with reduced radio frequency emissions to minimize interference and make them compatible with hearing aids beginning September 16, 2005. The percentage of headsets manufactured with reduced interference should reach 50 percent by February 18, 2008.
