Clicker: The Fully Accessible Writing, Communication and Multimedia Tool
By Lynch, Kevin; CSUN Technology and Persons With Disabilities Conference - 2002,Publication Date: 2002
Article focuses on Clicker 4 from Crick Software, which is a switch accessible voice output word processor program that allows students to compose documents using whole words, phrases, pictures, and animations. Clicker 4 also allows students to access talking books, and can help provide support to students not only in reading and writing, but communication as well. The program’s talking word processor application can be customized to meet the needs of each student, as individual grids can be created to hold a letter, word, phrase, or picture in each individual cell. The program also comes with its own large picture library, and is compatible with the Mayer-Johnson Picture Communication Symbols Library. Interested parties are encouraged to visit Crick Software online (http://www.cricksoft.com) for further information. This paper was presented at the 2002 California State University at Northridge Technology and Persons With Disabilities Conference.
