Talking to Your Mac: Speech Recognition Options for the Mac OS

Paper focuses on speech recognition software available for the Macintosh OS 9x operating system. ViaVoice from IBM is noted as the most viable option, as the programs key features are listed: (1) a microphone with USB connectivity, (2) dictation with correction into Appleworks 6.0, Microsoft Word, and Internet Explorer, and (3) an enhanced correction interface. System requirements are included. Additional programs that can be used with this operating system are listed, as they include Mac Speech with iListen and Virtual PC with Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
