By Brandt, Ase; Lofqvist, Charlotte; Samuelsson, Kersti; Iwarsson, Susanne; Assistive Technology: From Virtuality to Reality, Vol. 16, No. 1, pp. 745-749
Publication Date: 2005

Paper discusses the Nordic Assisted Mobility Evaluation (NAME), which is an instrument that aims to measure mobility device interventions in terms of participation outcomes. The authors mainly focus on the instrument development process, which was based on focus group interviews and discussions with user groups and experts. The items for assessment on the NAME were chosen on the basis of input from these discussion groups. Implications for future evaluations of the assessment are discussed. The NAME was created by researchers at the Danish Centre for Assistive Technology in Denmark, the Division of Occupational Therapy at Lund University in Sweden, and the Department of Neuroscience and Locomotion at Linkoping University in Sweden.
